| Abstract: | There are large regional differences in the total fertility rate. In this paper, we analyzed the factors of regional differences in the total fertility rate for municipalities in Hokkaido. As a result, it was found that the municipalities are characterized by the factors of marriage and the fertility of the couple. Understanding the characteristics of municipalities through such analysis will promote measures against the declining birthrate and policy formation for regional revitalization.
It is necessary to improve the system and environment for that purpose. |
