Abstract: A trematode species, Isthmiophora melis (SCHRANK, 1788) LUHE, 1909,was found in the small intestine of a badger, Meles meles anakuma TEMMINCK, captured in Gifu, central Japan, on June 10,1974. The differentiation among I. melis, Euparyphium beaveri, YAMAGUTI, 1958,and Echinostoma hortense ASADA, 1926,was discussed. A coccidian parasite, Eimeria sp., was also found in the mucosal epithelium of the jejunum. Furthermore, an unidentified nematode was observed in the jejunal mucosa.
