| Abstract: | 2004年度に、地域研究関連諸機関の連絡組織として発足した地域研究コンソーシアムに組織された情報資源共有化研究会は、2006年11月に、第2回海外調査を実施し、米国のOCLC,CRLなど、学術図書館のネットワークを支える機関を中心に訪問した。米国の学術図書館のネットワークはOCLC,CRL,ARLなど、それぞれの役割を異にする非営利団体によって支えられる面が大きい。これらの組織は、図書館が自動的に加入するものでなく、パートナーシップによって成立している。日本においても、資源共有を促進する上では、こうしたパートナーシップに基づく協力関係を組織する可能性について、検討する必要があるだろう。 |
| The Special Interest Group for Area Studies Resource Sharing was formed in 2004 under the auspices of the Japan Consortium for Area Studies. In November 2006, the group conducted its 2nd overseas survey by visiting a number of organizations in the United States that support academic library networks such as OCLC and CRL. There are a variety of non-profit academic library networks in the United States such as OCLC,CRL,ARL,etc. each playing a different and important role. The organizations are developed through partnerships, libraries cannot join automatically. The authors believe that it might be beneficial for Japanese organizations to develop similar organizations based on partnerships in order to improve resource sharing. |
