Abstract:	重大な社会問題となっている，道路交通騒音の問題に関し，その一解決策である遮音壁の効果について，音響学的な考祭を行っている．従来，遮音壁設置の理論的裏付けとして，スクリーンによる音波の回折理論が採用されてきたが，本論文では，遮音壁と音源としての車両の存在する道路構造を一つの音響放射系とみなし，開放領域問題に有力な境界要素法を用いて2次元解析を行っている．遮音壁断面形状と周波数をパラメータとして行った解析の結果からは，平行に対向する部分のある形状では共振が発生し，遮音壁端部での回折とあいまって，遠方まで音を広げてしまう場合があること，無理な閉込めを期待せず，ホーンのような形状を採用すると，道路面に垂直に上の方向に音を放射することができ，かつ，回折も大きくならないことなどの知見を得ている．対象とした周波数は，耳障りと考えられる150～300Hzである．
