Description: | Taking the focus upon P.Miliukov's Outlines of Russian Cultural History, Part I, the present author tries to make clear how Miliukov inherited, modified and developed the basic points of view of the Juridical School (Solov'ev, Kavelin, Chicherin). The author's main effort is to show the following two points : (1) Against the old-fashioned philosophical and juridical concepts of the Juridical School, Miliukov adopted the sociological interpretation of history.(2) Among the scholars of the Juridical School, Miliukov inherited from Chicherin most, who had attached much importance to the role of the conquest in the formation of the Kievan Russia and to that of the Tartar for the formation of the tsarism, while Solov'ev and others had emphasized the organic development of the Russian history. |
