Abstract:	本稿では、小規模宿泊施設の一つである「ゲストハウス」（以下、GH）を取り上げ、　北海道札幌市中心部（以下、札幌）で宿泊事業を展開する事業者（以下、GH事業者）の　①開業までの経緯、②GH利用経験、③同業者との情報交換の有無を整理する。その上で、　札幌でのGH事業の展開過程の背景について、GH事業者の社会的背景を軸とした考察を行うことを目的としている。
