Abstract: Hollow core-shell particles of titania core and silica shell were synthesized by multistep process, and the core-shell particles showed improved stereoselectivity in the photocatalytic redox-combined synthesis of L-pipecolinic acid from L-lysine in an aqueous suspension without reducing the original activity of the bare titania core.
