Abstract: | 情報通信研究機構(NICT)は, 航空機搭載あるいは衛星搭載の降雨レーダ開発の経験を生かして, 日本初の雲レーダ(SPIDER)を開発した. その後, 衛星搭載雲レーダ(EarthCARE/CPR)の開発につなげている. また, 衛星搭載レーダの開発と同時に, その性能を検証するための検証用レーダも開発してきた. これまで検証用レーダとして航空機搭載型のレーダを開発してきたが, 開発戦略は地上設置型の検証レーダに移行してきている. EarthCARE/CPR の検証用レーダの開発戦略, 及び次世代の雲レーダ開発について紹介する. | National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) developed the first cloud profiling radar(SPIDER) in Japan taking advantage of experience of various airborne and spaceborne precipitation radar developments. Then NICT is developing the Cloud Profiling Radar on the EarthCARE satellite (EarthCARE/CPR). Moreover, simultaneously with development of a spaceborne radar, the calibration and evaluation radar for verifying the performance has been also developed. Although,the airborne radar has been developed for the verification, a development strategy is shifting to a ground-based calibration/validation radar. The development strategy of the calibration/evaluation radar for EarthCARE/CPR and next generation cloud profiling radar development concept are introduced. |
