The purpose of this study was to construct the feel for the water scale. We conducted a survey questionnaire on the review of‘ Feel for the Water’ of comprising of 22 items. For those children who attend swimming class of the surveyed coach, we implemented the attitude measurement toward the swimming class, at around the same time as the survey of the coach was held. The following is an outline of the survey results. As a result of the correlation analysis of ‘feel for the water’, ‘The number of the language expressing a feel for the water’, and the ‘movement technology’, positive correlation was accepted between ‘feel for the water’ and ‘The number of the language expressing a feel for the water’-‘movement technology’. However, those who are not in correlation also existed among children. And Then, the ingredient of the ‘feel for the water scale’ measure was analyzed. As a result, five ingredients, ‘attitude’, ‘buoyancy’, ‘impulsion’, ‘rhythm’, and ‘other’, were drawn. This result has suggested that the viewpoint which discerns the right and wrong of the others' feel for the water. Forward, it is necessary to develop the method of measuring a feel for the water using the created measure.
