| Abstract: | Tourist satisfaction is important for successful destination marketing because it is a determinant of destination loyalty. Tourist satisfaction has attracted considerable attention among both tourism academia and practitioners. Negative heritage, as one type of tourism attraction, always attracts many travelers. Tourist satisfaction is also important in the case of negative heritage. However, very little research has been conducted on this aspect. Therefore, in this study, the case of the Beichuan Earthquake Site Area in China was examined. Based on a review of relevant literature, 26 factors affecting tourist satisfaction were confirmed. Using importance-performance analysis, a widely used analytical technique for evaluating customer satisfaction, tourist satisfaction was investigated. Finally, based on the results, this paper offers some suggestions for the development of negative heritage tourism in the Beichuan Earthquake Site Area. |
