Abstract:	釧路コールマインの白亜系岩盤からメタンガスが湧出している。メタンガスの成因、移動メカニズム、採掘方法について検討するための基礎的なデータとして白亜系岩石の浸透率を計測した。実験では安全のためメタンガスではなく窒素ガスを使い、定圧力法とトランジェントパルス法を用いた。実験の結果、気乾状態の釧路砂質頁岩の浸透率は約10-18 m2 程度であり、アメリカのシェールガスを胚胎する岩盤と同じ程度であった。また、割裂した岩石供試体を含水飽和させ、同様の実験を行ったところ、健全な岩石の約10,000倍の浸透率となり、来待砂岩と比較すると封圧依存性は小さかった。その原因として、岩石の強度の差が挙げられる。
