| Abstract: | For the detailed average structure analysis of heavy hydrocarbons, the determinations of (1) tertiary and quaternary aromatic carbon distributions by ^<13>C-NMR using dept and quat methods, (2) carbonyls by FT-IR, and (3) hydroxyl groups by acetylation with trifluoroacetic acid anhydride followed by ^<19>F-NMR were performed besides the normal analyses. The detailed structures of aromatic rings were estimated using those data. |
