Abstract: A high-entropy layered hydroxide (HELH), in which Mg2+, Al3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Zn2+ were homogeneously distributed on two dimensions sheets, was synthesized for the first time. The HELH shows moderate thermal stability and hydroxide ion conductivity up to 10(-3) S cm(-1). This finding presents tremendous opportunities for emerging new two-dimensional high-entropy materials.
