With a goal of 60 million inbound tourists visiting Japan until 2030, effective tourism education and foreign language teaching are expected to realize the goals of human resources development within the tourism industry. On the other hand, there are a certain amount of the senior Chinese language learners who are looking for the opportunities of the language and culture exchange with Chinese native speakers in Japan. However, they can only find the chance of the volunteers as the Japanese language tutors or the temporary staffs of one-shot tourist attractions or events. The objective of this research is to design the environment of intergenerative and intercultural cooperative learning between senior learners and international students. For this purpose, we conducted the PBL (Project-Based learning) about university campus guide planning, as well as developed the guide training VR materials. For the evaluation, the evaluation indicator of the intergenerative interactions was employed. In addition, the answer for the questionnaires of the experiential session of the campus guide VR were analyzed to understand the recognition of learning experiences and the achievements.
