| Abstract: | ジョン・サールは，『社会的世界の制作』において，一枚の紙片が一万円札であることのような制度的事実は「宣言」と呼ばれる言語行為の一類型により創出され，それは我々を当該の事実の内容に従った仕方で行為させる義務論的力を持つと主張している。本稿では，サールの議論に提起されてきた，行為者が制度に従う際の行為の動機づけを十分に説明できていないという批判に対して，サールの議論を言語行為の規範性に基づきそうした動機づけを説明する，言語論的な合理主義として特徴づけることを通じて応答する。その上で，そのように言語論的な合理主義として理解されるサールの議論が，彼の本来の目的である制度的世界と自然科学的な世界を整合的に説明するという試みと緊張関係にあることを，同じく言語論的な合理主義として理解される推論主義の視点から指摘する。 |
