Abstract: In Standard Japanese the two verb forms, TA-form and TE-form, are very similar. The both forms have stress accent in same mora or lack it.In Kansaiben Japanese TE forms have two variations according to its function: adverbial use and conjunctive use. In adverbial usage Kansaiben TE-forms lack accent but maintain High Tone or Low Tone of their original dictionary forms. On the other hand in conjunctive usage Kansaiben TE-forms have similar phonetic structure as TA-forms.In Yamashita (2019), the formation of Kansaiben TA-forms is analyzed. The formation of Kansaiben TE-forms in conjunctive usage also depends on three factors 1) Their tones of dictionary forms: High or Law 2) The type of their conjugation: 5-dan verbs, 1-dan verbs or special verbs 3) The number of morae which compose their dictionary forms Finally two variations of adjective TE-forms were analyzed:present forms and past forms.
