| Abstract: | 北大低温研は，宗谷暖流のモニタリングを目的として，宗谷海峡域および紋別－雄武海域に５基の短波海洋レーダを設置し，2003年8月から表層流速場の連続観測を行ってきた．無線局免許の問題や機材の老朽化により，2022年3月に海洋レーダの運用は終了したが，18年7か月の貴重なデータが得られた．本稿では，この海洋レーダと得られた観測結果について概説する． | | We installed five High Frequency (HF) ocean radars at the Soya Strait and Mombetsu-Ohmu region in the Sea of Okhotsk to monitor the Soya Warm Current (SWC), which flows from the Sea of Japan to the Sea of Okhotsk through the Soya/La Perouse Strait. The ocean radars had been operated for 19 years since August 2003. In this article, we summarize results from the long-term observation of the Soya Warm Current by the HF ocean radars. |
