| Abstract: | 消防活動は重装備の激しい活動であり，過労・ストレスによる隊員の死傷者が多い．本研究では，寒冷環境下における消防活動が隊員に及ぼす身体負担を経時的に分析し，休憩の必要性を検討した．北海道S市の消防隊員71名に対して24時間の拘束勤務中にボルター心電計を装着させ，消防活動中の心拍数変化を測定し，Wu, et al.(2001）のmaximum acceptable work duration（MAWD）でその負担を評価した．出動途上の平均最高心拍数は145.5拍／分であり，急激に心拍数が上昇していた．現場活動中の最大心拍数と活動時間には正の有意な（P＜0．01）相関が認められた，小規模火災2件でMAWDを大きく超え，活動開始5分間の負担は平均で92．6並びに93．6％heaft rate reserve（HRR），活動全体の平均でも72．3と70．2％HRRであった．災害現場での消防隊員の死傷事故減少には，寒冷環境下の小規模火災でも，火勢制圧後，隊員に休憩・交替を与え，過労・ストレスを軽減させる必要がある， |
