| Abstract: | 外国語学習において学習者が自分自身の学習を省みて、客観的にどのような状況にあるか評価し、修正を行う自己評価能力を育成していくことは学習の進展に大きく関わってくると思われる。本稿では自己訂正能力の向上を図るために実施されたスピーチ学習での試みを報告する。また、活動後に行ったアンケート調査により学習者が訂正活動に対しどのように認識しているかも探った。その結果、学習者はある程度自己訂正が可能であるが、その範囲は見付けられた誤りの訂正に限られている。訂正項目として提示した中で「段落、構成」と「い/な形容詞」については訂正可能、またはほぼ習得できている。「語彙」については学習者の気付きがなく訂正できていない。特に不適切な語彙選択が多くみられた。訂正活動に対するアンケートで学習者は「客観的に自分の日本語を見ることができる」とその有効性を認めていた。以上のことから、学習者が自己訂正できる範囲をさらに拡充できるように確実な知識を定着させること、また、学習者が意識的に自分の学習を評価できるような教室活動を強化していくことが今後の課題であろうとの示唆を得た。 | | In an intermediate level oral expression class, a self-correction activity was conducted in order to make learners aware of mistakes in grammar, vocabulary and paragraphing in their own speech drafts. As a result, it seems that learners have the ability to correct some mistakes found by themselves. However, there were many errors which they could not find in grammar, and especially in inappropriate vocabulary usage. According to the results of a questionnaire conducted on this activity, learners recognized that self-correction activity was useful and effective for their learning of Japanese, but also realized the limitations of their own ability to find errors. The results give rise to several suggestions for designing activities for intermediate level oral expression classes. |
