| Abstract: | 本稿は、日本語のとりたて詞「さえ」と「こそ」について統語的観点から考察したものである。これまで「さえ」と「こそ」が従属節生起する複文において、これらのとりたて詞のスコープが従属節までか、あるいは主節までを含むのかという議論がなされてきた。この疑問に対し、「さえ」と「こそ」が展開する従属節と主節のつながりを「3段階の論理構造」を用いて分析した結果、「さえ」が条件節に生起した場合、「P（条件）であればR（話者の予測）であるからQ（予測に基づく判断）である」といった構造が成り立ち、とりたて詞「さえ」によって暗示されたRが主節にまで及ぶことが確認できた。また、「こそ」がガ節、ケド節、モノノ節などの従属節に生起した場合、「P（条件）であればR（話者の主観的価値判断）であるけれどもQ（話者の主観的価値判断に基づく結果）である」という論理構造になるとし、「こそ」のスコープが従属節内にとどまらず、主節を含む文全体をとると結論づけた。 | | This paper examines the logical structure of the toritate particles Sae and Koso in complex sentences from a syntactic point of view. Sae and Koso have the common syntactic feature that they appear in the subordinate clause of a complex sentence. It has long been argued whether the scope of Sae and Koso includes the main clause or not (Numata 1989, Noda 1995, Noguchi and Harada 1996, Mogi 2006). The way to answer this question is to analyze co-occurrence relations between dependent and main clauses found with Sae and Koso, based on the logical structure. The present analysis demonstrates that the speaker's presupposition of Sae and Koso influences the content of the main clause. Thus, the scope of these particles includes the main clause. |
