| Abstract: | 本稿では、複数の機能をもつ副詞「だいたい」の説き起こしの機能を統語論的観点から考察する。「だいたい」には、大きく分けて量を表す機能と説き起こしの機能の二つがある。このうち、説き起こしの機能については先行研究で詳しい考察が行われていない。例文を検討すると、説き起こしの機能には、（1）非難を導く用法と（2）話し手にとっての事実を導く用法があることがわかった。次に、これらの二つの用法がどのような表現類型をもつ文と共起し、単文、複文の主節、従属節のどれに出現可能であるかということを分析した。拙論（2007）では、上に挙げた、共起しうる表現類型と文中での出現可能部分を分析することによって、陳述副詞「きっと」、「かならず」、「ぜひ」の類似部分と異なる部分についての統語的観点からの記述が可能になると主張した。副詞「だいたい」も同様の方法で分析することにより、二つの用法の統語論的特徴が明らかになると考えられる。このように、「だいたい」の二つの用法の統語的特徴を明らかにすることで、ひいては、同様に複数の機能をもつ副詞の記述方法をよりわかりやすいものにしていくことにもつながるのではないかと思われる。 | | This paper aims to examine the modal functions of the adverb daitai from a syntagmatic point of view. Daitai has two broad functions, as an adverb of quantity and an adverb relating to the modality of a following clause or sentence. This paper focuses on the modal function, and analyzes this from the following points of view: (1) co-occurrence between daitai and the function of the sentence or the clause, (2) sentence-(simple/complex) and clause-type which includes daitai. Syntagmatic description of the adverb from these viewpoints can improve its comprehensibility for Japanese learners. |
