| Abstract: | 「為人民服務」は中国語でよく使われているフレーズとして、広く知られているが、このフレーズに出た「服務」という言葉が日本語から中国語に流入した言葉、いわゆる日本語借用語であることは、あまり知られていないであろう。
「服務」の語源を遡ってみると、高名凱・劉正埮『現代漢語外来詞研究』(1958.文字改革出版者)では、「服務」は日本語からの借用語とされている。その後に出版された高名凱・劉正埮『漢語外来詞詞典』(1984.上海辞書出版社)でも、「服務」を日本語起源と明記している。しかし、日中両言語における「服務」の使用状況をみると、日本語ではあまり使用されていないのに対し、中国語ではHSKの甲級語彙に収録され、頻繁に使用されている。日本で造られた「服務」は日中両言語で異なる展開を遂げたのは何故であろう。筆者はかつて日本語における「服務」という言葉の出現とその背景について考察を行ったことがある(胡.2013)。本稿はそれの続きとして、中国語における「服務」という言葉の流入と受容の実態を解明する。 |
