| Abstract: | 6th International Round Table on Titanium Production in Molten Salt略してTi-RT2018（2018年6月10日（日）-13日（水）、https://en.ru.is/tirt2018）は、アイスランドの首都にあるレイキャビク大学で開催された。チタン精錬法に関する溶融塩を用いた新提案の他、関係技術や各種精錬法等を隔年に討議するもので、前回は日本チタン協会協賛で札幌と洞爺湖で開催された。円卓会議の発案者の一人でChairmanのHaarberg先生と、その教え子であるレイキャビク大学のSaevarsdottir先生のお骨折りで、アルミニウムの電解精錬所Rio Tinto Alcan Iceland (Photo.1)、フェロシリコンの精錬所Elkem (Photo. 2)、レイキャビクの電力と暖房の99%を担う地熱発電所も見学でき、途中で有名なブルーラグーンを楽しめるなど盛りだくさんであった。 |
