Abstract: 晩期型星の星周雲からdiffuse cloud への分子の供給過程を明らかにするため,diffuse cloud の分子 による可視光吸収線Diffuse Interstellar Bands(DIBs)に着目し,化学組成の解明を試みた.そのた めには,星間分子の実験室生成とそのスペクトルのDIBs との比較が必要である.そこで,星間分子 生成装置とCavity Ring Down 分光装置を開発し,DIBs 候補分子であるベンゼン誘導体ラジカル(チ オフェノキシラジカル,フェノキシラジカル)の実験室分光測定を行った.その結果,電子遷移の波 長が得られ,これら2 つのラジカルはDIBs の候補から除外されることになったが,同時に今後の天 文観測による検出が可能になった.また,直線炭素鎖分子C7H とHC3N の宇宙電波観測も行い,C7H を分子雲で初めて検出することができた.
To reveal the transportation of molecules from circumstellar envelopes to diffuse clouds, the chemical composition of diffuse clouds needs to be investigated. Diffuse interstellar bands (DIBs) are optical absorption bands of molecules in diffuse clouds, and their origins have not yet been identified except for in one special case. To identify the origin of DIBs, we have developed an interstellar molecule production apparatus and a cavity ring-down (CRD) spectrometer. The benzene derivative radicals C6 H5 S and C6 H5 O produced in this apparatus were observed using the CRD spectrometer. The obtained transition wavelengths of these radicals can be used to identify DIBs that have not yet been observed. Further, we investigated the carbon-chain molecules C7H and HC3N in space using radio telescopes, and C7H was first detected in molecular clouds.
